What is HDMI decoder? - sony muteki htd dw 7500 price
I think Sony Muteki home theater system, but I read online that the amp only act as an HDMI switch, not a decoder. Is it important, what does this mean?

This means you can go through HDMI.
It may not be in a position to take the audio from the HDMI input and decode it.
